  1. We, the lowly taxpayers, are the mere pawns of the so called Aiken City government who view us collectively as merely the source of funds (our taxpayer dollars) for their many behind closed doors ill conceived plans to degrade, if not destroy, the scenic history of all that lures new citizens from so many parts of our nation to our unique, charming, historic town. As the Romans said many centuries ago: Sic Transit Gloria!

  2. Well, having a letter ignored is sadly a step up from the way some citizens were treated in person during public comment by this Mayor and City Manager at the most recent City Council meeting. The Mayor actually said he didn’t have to listen to questions (just minutes after he read the guidelines for public comment which included ………questions). They didn’t bother to hide their disdain for being questioned by citizens.
Boris and Natasha need a refresher at finishing school.

  3. Aiken residents are waiting patiently to get so genuine transparency. Loosing faith that this will happen.

  4. Gasp! The nerve of some citizens (aka, taxpayers) to ask that they actually be permitted to voice their views — face-to-face with their elected representatives — is truly extraordinary and indecorous. Adding insult to the injury, is the hubris of those citizens expecting a reply to a letter written to those selfsame representatives. This is all truly beyond the pale. What is this city coming to?!
